We process your information to facilitate account creation and authentication, manage user accounts, and to save or protect an individual's vital interest (such as preventing harm).

We only process your personal information when we have a valid legal reason to do so under applicable law, such as with your consent, to comply with laws, to fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.

We offer AI-powered features through third-party providers. Specifically: Atlas AI Assistant: Your messages and vessel context (vessel name, trips, tasks, and crew information) are transmitted to OpenRouter (openrouter.ai), a third-party AI routing service, which forwards requests to large language models provided by OpenAI and Google. This data is used solely to generate responses within the app and is not used to train AI models. Voice Commands and Transcription: Voice input captured through the Atlas assistant is transcribed using AI speech recognition services via OpenRouter. Receipt and Image Analysis: Uploaded images such as receipts or documents may be processed by AI vision models via OpenRouter for data extraction purposes. AI features require your explicit in-app consent before first use and can be declined without affecting core app functionality. We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, generally for the duration of your account with us, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, no electronic transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18.

In some regions (like the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal information.

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. We do not currently respond to DNT browser signals as there is no uniform technology standard yet.
